Emergency Cautions and Instructions
Here are quite a few things you need to make sure you do.
For people who can use electricity, please save it as much as possible. Power plant and other bases were damaged and lacking enough generators to suffice whole households.
If you can use rice cooker, please cook rice as much as possible. Although electricity need to be saved, the power need to be used for producing as much food as possible.
Please do NOT go out alone, in this chaotic situation, sexual crimes and violence are more likely to happen although you are living in Japan. If you are wearing stocking(or tights), please TAKE IT OFF because in the situation of fire, you would get burnt ALL OVER your stocking and legs if you caught a fire. But please do NOT THROW that AWAY, you can use them as tourniquet to stop the bleeding.
Please keep them OPEN. In the case of next and possibly bigger earthquake, windows and doors would not open and get you locked up inside collapsing building.
If clean water is still available, please try to keep it as much as possible at wherever you can keep it like inside any bottle, BATHTUB, canteen and whatever useful.
if you find a crack in the shape of X, that's pretty risky and dangerous, very likely to collapse.
If you want to leave a message for somebody looking for you, push

□ID
□Insurance card, stamp, account balance book
□drinkable water(1 person may need approx 3 litters a day)
□durable food(canned food, snacks etc)
□cellphone and charger for emergency which you can use
□tissue
□towel(5 towels are probably enough)
□sanitary pad
□torch
□hot bag(something portable, and keep you warm)
□plastic wrap
□blanket
□your families photo(if some of them are missing, as you ask to somebody)
□whistle(to notify the location in the case you got caught between building and kinds)
□glasses
□daily medicine
those two characters mean "totally collapsed" and most like to fall down anytime. So please DO NOT GO CLOSE to those buildings and keep away from there.
At the time of Hanshin Earthquake, many people got seriously injured because they smoked outside without being aware of the gas pipe which crashed and leaking much gas. Some of them could be really inconspicuous, so DO NOT SMOKE OUTSIDE.
For people who don't know how to reset gas, turn your equipment off, meter will blink red LED due to earthquake, remove saftey cap, hit reset button, it will click and pop back out, replace cap, red LED will continue for another 3 minutes then your gas should be back.
